In tropical regions such as Indonesia, dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) remains a serious public health issue. Global data show that in 2023, there were more than 6,800 deaths and more than 6.5 million cases of dengue virus infection. This situation indicates that DHF is becoming increasingly widespread, posing a serious threat to public health as it has now spread to 32 provinces in Indonesia. This community service project aims to promote the independent and sustainable implementation of Mosquito Breeding Site Eradication (PSN) and to increase awareness and knowledge about dengue fever prevention. The method used involved health education sessions for the community, conducted in Tenri Pakkua Village, Lappa Riaja Subdistrict, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The success of the education program was measured using a post-test questionnaire comprising 8 knowledge questions and 5 attitude statements. The evaluation results showed that the average level of participants’ understanding in the knowledge aspect reached 96.3%, with all participants (100%) correctly answering questions regarding the identification of dengue fever and the effectiveness of prevention measures. Regarding attitudes, the average positive response rate among participants was 96.5%, with all participants (100%) strongly agreeing on the importance of health education and the implementation of healthy lifestyle practices (PHBS). This initiative proved effective in enhancing the community’s knowledge and fostering positive attitudes toward preventing dengue fever through the independent implementation of the 3M Plus environmental sanitation program.
