Abstract

Malaria is an infectious disease caused by the plasmodium parasite, transmitted by the female Anopheles mosquito. To prevent the spread of malaria, we currently need active involvement from the community in every affected area. Community service activities aim to increase community understanding through education so that people can implement it in their daily lives to prevent and control the spread of the malaria parasite in Tanjung Kasuari and continue carrying out laboratory examinations with RDT at the end of the activity. The method of implementing the service is providing education about the prevention and control of plasmodium parasites, and examination using the POCT method with a rapid diagnostic test tool. The result of the examination showed that four samples tested positive for the plasmodium parasite. The evaluation results show that the implementation of these service activities has a positive influence on the local community. This service activity is very effective in helping people’s knowledge about the dangers of malaria
